ALEC 380 High Impact Field Experience in Agriculture

From Oct. 21-30, a group of 50 ag. students, from undergrads to masters and Ph.D.s to professors working on research, got on a charter bus and went around the Midwest. Hi-jinks ensued. We toured places from the Amish community to Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry, and participated in activities from a community service project helping the Joplin tornado victims to volunteering at the National FFA Convention.

Every night, we got in small groups to reflect on our experiences, and every day we wrote blogs and journal entries to help us more clearly articulate and critically think about what we saw and did that day. You can read the group blog at experienceagriculture.wordpress.com, but I’m going to give y’all a personal look at my experiences by taking bits and pieces from my blog and journals every day and posting them here. So look out for some cool posts on that!
